~"Largest Exhibition for Facility Maintenance and Cleaning Technologies
in Tokyo Organized by 2 Major Industrial Bodies”~

This is a Joint Exhibition held by Japan Building Maintenance Association (JBMA) and Japan Management Association (JMA) featuring every possible business in building maintenance and cleaning technologies.
JBMA is known as the public welfare body for raising social position and benefit of cleaning, building facility maintenance and security services, furthermore has been holding trade shows for the industry in alternate years since 1991.
Meanwhile, Japan Management Association is an incorporated association annually holding over 40 exhibitions for various industries, and has launched the first ¥"Clean EXPO¥" in 2014. Both associations collaborate in merging the shows and has organized the first ¥"BUILDING MAINTENANCE & CLEAN SHOW¥" in 2017, to establish a collective platform for Building/Facility Maintenance Professionals and Owners.
This show will be held again in 2018, scheduled to be held annually in the following years as well.

Japan's largest and the only facility maintenance trade show:
¥"BUILDING MAINTENANCE HUMAN FAIR & CLEAN EXPO 2017¥"
was held successfully from November 15th to 17th 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight,
as being the first show ever among cooperation in between Japan Management Association and Japan Building Maintenance Association.

As well as other industries, this sector with 3.8 trillion JPY market scale and 1 million working force, is also facing labor shortage and aging problems. Under such circumstance, automated cleaning robots were showing presences to experiment feasibilities for applying robotics in the cleaning field to complement human labor. In practice, the Chiba (A prefecture east of Tokyo) Station has implemented automated cleaning system already for streamlining the cleaning efficiency and cost.

Cleaning robots function well on flat floors and have advantages to human hands in terms of efficiency and accuracy, where they memorize the geography of the building structures through mapping input made by human.
